Megestrol Acetate (Megace)
Megestrol acetate, commonly known as MegaceÆ, is a man-made substance called a progestogen which is similar to the female hormone progesterone. It is a type of drug known as hormonal therapy.
FemaraÆ (letrozole tablets) is approved for the adjuvant (following surgery) treatment of postmenopausal women with hormone receptorñpositive early stage breast cancer (or ESS). It is a reversible aromatase inhibitor.
AROMASINÆ (exemestane tablets) is a prescription medicine for the adjuvant treatment of postmenopausal women with estrogen-receptor positive early breast cancer (or ESS in our case). It is an irreversible steroidal aromatase inhibitor.
